Virginia and Texas Tech have earned spots in the Final Four.

The third-seeded Red Raiders defeated No. 1 seed Gonzaga 75-69 on Saturday in the West Regional final. Texas Tech advanced for the first time in school history.

Virginia outlasted Purdue 80-75 in overtime in the South Regional in Saturday’s other game.

Auburn plays Kentucky and Duke meets Michigan State in Sunday’s other Elite Eight games.

The Final Four is next Saturday in Minneapolis.

The Cavaliers earned their first trip to the Final Four since 1984. Last year Virginia became the first No. 1 seed to lose to a 16 seed in NCAA men's tournament history.

Virginia guard Kyle Guy scored 25 points.

Purdue’s Carsen Edwards scored 42 points, most from outside, well beyond the three-point line. He also set the all-time tournament record for three-pointers in a tournament. The Boilermakers were hoping for their first Final Four since 1980.

Virginia will play the Kentucky-Auburn winner.

In the earlier game, Jarrett Culver, the Big 12 Player of the Year, led the Red Raiders with 19 points. Matt Mooney scored 17 and Davide Moretti added 12 for Texas Tech (30-6). The Red Raiders will play the Duke-Michigan State winner.

Rui Hachimura scored 22 points, Brandon Clarke scored 18 and Josh Perkins added 16 for Gonzaga (33-4).

Gonzaga led 37-35 at halftime after a first half that featured nine ties and nine lead changes.
