Angela Taylor was announced as executive vice president and general manager of the Dream on Tuesday.

Taylor served in the same capacity for Washington in the 2009 and ’10 seasons. She also served as vice president of business operations for Minnesota from 2006-08.

Taylor will fill the role previously held by Fred Williams, who also coached the Dream. He was let go last year.

Michael Cooper was hired as coach to replace Williams.

Taylor has a bachelor’s degree in economics from Stanford and an MBA from New York University. She also played on two national championship teams at Stanford.

She has 10 years of experience working in the WNBA league office, where she held a variety of responsibilities, including implementing the league’s regional scouting program.
