After being of the top receivers in the NFL the past six seasons, Falcons wide receiver Roddy White’s production has fallen off drastically this season.

White, who is coming off his best game of the season, tried to play through a right high ankle sprain early in the season. He later suffered a left hamstring strain and missed three games.

White caught 10 passes for 143 yards last week against Buffalo, signaling that he’s closer to full health.

“I was happy for Rod,” Falcons quarterback Matt Ryan said. “He’s put in a lot of work. He’s been incredibly diligent throughout the entire year of staying on top of some of the injuries that he’s been playing with and working through. To see him go out there and have a bunch of catches and make huge plays for us, I know that felt good.”

White, a four-time Pro Bowler, was selected in the first round (27th overall) of the 2005 draft by the Falcons.

His career got off to a slow start before taking off in his third season. From 2007-12, White terrorized secondaries around the league, averaging 93.8 catches, 1,295.5 yards and 8.1 touchdowns per season. He led the league in catches with 115 in 2010. He also caught 100 passes in 2011.

Entering the final quarter of this season, White has 30 catches for 352 yards and one touchdown. He’s on pace to finish the injury-marred season with 43 catches for 586 yards.
