The Atlanta Falcons have selected a partnership of Arizona-based Hunt Construction Group and Atlanta-based Holder Construction as general contractor to build the planned retractable-roof stadium downtown, a Falcons official confirmed to The Atlanta Journal-Constitution this morning.

The selection is “pending contract completion and (Georgia World Congress Center Authority) board approval next week,” Kim Shreckengost, executive vice president of AMB Group, the Falcons’ parent company, said by email.

Hunt-built stadiums include the homes of the NFL’s Indianapolis Colts and Arizona Cardinals and of Major League Baseball’s San Francisco Giants, New York Mets and Washington Nationals. Holder’s projects in Atlanta include the new World of Coca-Cola attraction.
