Hawks forward Josh Smith did not participate in on-court practice with the Hawks Monday after suffering a sprained right ankle in Game 1 of the playoff series against the Pacers.
Smith suffered the “slightly” sprained ankle late in the game, a 107-90 loss in the series opener at Indiana Sunday. The Hawks spent part of Monday’s practice watching video of the loss and Smith took part in that session.
Coach Larry Drew said Smith was day-to-day and that he was hopeful the team’s leading scorer could play in Game 2 Wednesday.
“He is back being treated right now,” Drew said. “He will be treated all day today. He will be treated tomorrow. Hopefully, he will be ready to go Wednesday.”
Game 4 time set
Game 4 of the Hawks-Pacers playoff series, to be played in Atlanta Monday, will be at 7 p.m. at broadcast by TNT.
