Georgia coach Kirby Smart said he’s been pleased with how quarterbacks Jake Fromm and Justin Fields have played and improved through the Bulldogs first three games.
“Both guys are improving, both of them have room for improvement and they both continue to work hard (and) prepare and I think the biggest thing for each one of them is can you continue to prepare at the right level so you’re prepared for every situation you can be presented in a game,” Smart said.
Fromm started Saturday's game and went 10-for-12 for 128 yards and three touchdowns before being replaced by Fields near the end of the first half.

Fields, who has played in all three games this season, threw 6-for-8 for 71 yards and one touchdown and rushed for 33 yards and one touchdown.
Smart said Monday that he thought Fields “did a good job” during his time under center Saturday.
Freshman quarterback Matthew Downing replaced Fields late Saturday’s game and went 1-for-1 for 24 yards.
The Bulldogs travel to play the Missouri Tigers Saturday in the first of seven straight SEC games. The game kicks off at noon (ESPN; 95.5 FM and WSB 750 AM) at Faurot Field in Columbia, Mo.
