Here are a few things to know on Tuesday:

1. Georgia Tech loses to Tennessee in double overtime

The Tennessee Volunteers won the second Chick-fil-A Kickoff Game of the Labor Day weekend 42-41 on Monday night in double overtime. Georgia Tech coach Paul Johnson and quarterback TaQuon Marshall explained the decision to attempt a two-point conversion in double overtime instead of kicking an extra point.

2. Falcons release Ra’Shede Hageman 

The Atlanta Falcons released defensive tackle Ra'Shede Hademan on Monday for his role in a domestic violence case last season. Details and the Falcons' statement can be found on the AJC.com.

3. Eason won't play against Notre Dame

After sustaining a knee injury in the first quarter of Georgia's season opener on Saturday, quarterback Jacob Eason won't play against Notre Dame. Seth Emerson has more.

4. Braves lose to Rangers

The Atlanta Braves lost the series opener to the Texas Rangers 8-2 on Monday at SunTrust Park. Pitcher R.A. Dickey pitched 4 1/3 innings and allowed eight hits, seven runs and two home runs. The Braves play the second of three games against the Rangers on Tuesday at 7:35 p.m.

5. Alabama, Florida State scores big in ratings
