1. Atlanta United tops LA Galaxy
Atlanta United defeated the LA Galaxy 4-0 on Wednesday night after scoring four goals in the first half. Yamil Asad scored two of the goals and assisted on the other two scored by Josef Martinez and Miguel Almiron. Atlanta United's next match is against the Montreal Impact on Sunday at 5 p.m. at Mercedes-Benz Stadium.
2. Braves fall to Nationals, 7-3
Due to bullpen struggles in the eighth inning, the Atlanta Braves lost Wednesday night's game to the Washington Nationals, 7-3. The Braves play the season finale against the Nationals on Thursday at 7:35 p.m. at SunTrust Park.

4. Matt Ryan not worried about facing former teammate Paul Worrilow
When the Atlanta Falcons travel to Detroit to play the Lions on Sunday, quarterback Matt Ryan will see a familiar face among the Lions' defenders— former Falcons linebacker Paul Worrilow. Ryan spoke to media on Wednesday saying he wasn't worried about Worrilow stealing signals in Sunday's game.
5. Matt Kemp might not play again in 2017
David O'Brien reports Atlanta Braves' Matt Kemp might not play again in 2017 due to a hamstring strain the veteran suffered on Friday. Kemp pinch-hit in Wednesday's game against the Nationals, but manager Brian Snitker said Kemp is still considered as day-to-day.
