Here are a few things to know on Thursday:
1. Braves top Dodgers, 5-3
Atlanta Braves catcher Tyler Flowers hit a two-run pinch-hit home run in the eighth inning on Wednesday night to give the Braves a 5-3 win over the Los Angeles Dodgers. Danny Santana also hit a two-run home run in the second inning to erase the Dodgers' 1-0 lead. The series finale against the Dodgers is on Thursday night at 7:35 p.m.
2. Recap of Falcons training camp: day seven
During Atlanta Falcons training camp on Wednesday, wide receiver Jones caught some live action for the first time, coach Dan Quinn spoke to the media and "Nature Boy" Ric Flair made a quest appearance at practice.
3. Dansby Swanson "at peace" after demotion
After being demoted to Triple-A Gwinnett on July 27, Dansby Swanson said he's been able to find a new perspective and learn about himself. Gabriel Burns' interview with Swanson can be read on the AJC.com.
4. Atlanta United's Greg Garza separated shoulder during MLS All-Star game
After playing a few minutes in the 2017 MLS All-Star Game at Soldier Field on Wednesday night, Atlanta United defender Greg Garza separated his shoulder. Doug Roberson reported Garza isn't in pain and will undergo an MRI on Thursday in Atlanta.
5. Falcons' Collins says he's fine working with third-team
D. Orlando Ledbetter spoke with Atlanta Falcons coach Dan Quinn and safety Jalen Collins about Collins practicing with the Falcons' third-team during training camp after starting at cornerback during the Super Bowl.
