1. Falcons win in Detroit 

The Atlanta Falcons (3-0) handed the Detroit Lions their first loss of the season in Sunday's 30-26 win at Ford Field. Visit the AJC.com to hear what coach Dan Quinn had to say after the Falcons' win.

2. Braves lose final game of the season in SunTrust Park

The Atlanta Braves lost the final game in SunTrust Park this season to the Philadelphia Phillies on Sunday afternoon, 2-0. Braves pitcher Luiz Gohara started his fourth major league game on Sunday and lasted seven innings. The Braves start a series at the New York Mets with a doubleheader on Monday. The first game begins at 4:10 p.m.

3. Atlanta United defeats Montreal Impact

Atlanta United beat the Montreal Impact 2-0 on Sunday afternoon at Mercedes-Benz Stadium. Miguel Almiron left the match in the 17th minute due to an apparent leg injury. Atlanta United hosts Philadelphia on Wednesday at Mercedes-Benz Stadium at 7 p.m.

4. Jarrett, Poe explain why they kneeled during Sunday's National Anthem

Atlanta Falcons Grady Jarrett and Dontari Poe were two of over 100 players in the NFL to kneel or sit during the National Anthem on Sunday in protest of police brutality and comments made by President Donald Trump over the weekend. Jarrett and Poe explained why they kneeled after the Falcons' 30-26 win on Sunday.

5. Tour Championship ends in split decision
