Here’s five things to know on Wednesday:

1. Hawks beat Hornets, to play Pacers

After a 103-76 win over the Charlotte Hornets on Tuesday night, the Hawks have one more game standing between them and a No. 5 seeding in the playoffs plus a playoff game against the Washington Wizards. Chris Vivlamore reports on how the Hawks overcame the troubles of from a seven-game losing streak in late November to make the playoffs in April. Hawks play final game of regular season on Wednesday at 8:00 p.m. at the Indiana Pacers.

2. Braves fall to Marlins, play again on Wednesday night

The Braves lost 8-4 to the Miami Marlins on Tuesday night, meaning Atlanta has lost five out of the first six games. David O'Brien suggests it's due to "poor defense and situational hitting and a leaky bullpen." O'Brien also reports the Braves called up infielder Johan Camargo after outfielder Matt Kemp was placed on 10-day disabled list with a strained hamstring on Tuesday. The Braves play the second of two games at the Marlins on Wednesday at 7:10 p.m.

3. Braves' home opener on Friday

The Braves will finally open the home season in SunTrust Park on Friday for a four-game series with the San Diego Padres. Pitcher Julio Teheran is expected to start on the mound for the Braves' home opener at 7:35 p.m.

4. Atlanta United having good results on the road

Mark Bradley writes about the results produced during Atlanta United's four matches on the road. In the first season as an organization, Atlanta United sits in the early playoff picture.

5. Hawks promote Malik Rose to D-League general manager

Chris Vivlamore reports Rose, who spent the last two seasons in the Hawks' front office as manager of basketball operations, will become general manager of the Erie BayHawks next season.
