The Atlanta Journal-Constitution confirmed on Wednesday that the Golden State Warriors assistant general manager Travis Schlenk will become the Atlanta Hawks general manager. Chris Vivlamore has the details.
2. Braves lose to Pirates
The Atlanta Braves lost to the Pittsburgh Pirates 12-5 on Wednesday night. The game was tied 5-5 after nine innings, but the Pirates scored seven runs in the top of the tenth. The Braves play the final game of the four-game home series against the Pittsburgh Pirates on Thursday at 12:10 p.m. from SunTrust Park.

4. Rehab assignment extended for Adonis Garcia
Atlanta Braves manager Brian Snitker announced Adonis Garcia will spend a few more days with the Gwinnett Braves before he will be activated from the disabled list. Garcia was placed on the 10-day disabled list on May 16 due to left Achilles tendinitis.
5. 2019 NBA All-Star game to be held in Charlotte
