Here’s five things to know on Monday:
1. Braves beat Reds
The Braves lost the first game, but won the next two against the Cincinnati Reds over the weekend. On Sunday, the Braves left Cincinnati's Great American Ballpark with a 13-8 win after hittin three early home runs. The Braves (24-30) return to SunTrust Park on Monday night to begin a four-game series with the Philadelphia Phillies. Monday's game is scheduled to begin at 7:35 p.m.
2. Georgia Tech lands first 2018 commit
Peach County linebacker JaQuez Jackson committed to play for the Yellow Jackets in 2018 on Sunday. Jackson announced his commitment on his Twitter account.
3. Georgia Swarm wins Game 1
The Georgia Swarm won Game 1 of the NLL Champion's Cup 18-14 over the Saskatchewan Rush on Sunday. The Swarm won the game by scoring seven goals in the second half. The Swarm will travel to Saskatchewan's SaskTel Centre for Game 2 on Saturday. The game will begin at 9:30 p.m.
4. Atlanta United loses to Vancouver
Atlanta United fell to the Vancouver Whitecaps 3-1 on Saturday at Vancouver's BC Place. Doug Roberson writes Atlanta United gave up its third goal by way of corner kick on Saturday. Atlanta United plays Chicago Fire on Saturday from Chicago's Toyota Park. The game is scheduled to kick off at 4 p.m.
