After one season as a member of the Falcons staff, Jess Simpson will reportedly head south. According to Andrew Ivins of InsideTheU, the Falcons defensive assistant is expected to become the new Miami Hurricanes defensive line coach.
Prior to his 2017 season with the Falcons, Simpson spent 2016 as the defensive line/assistant head coach for Georgia State.
Before that, Simpson reigned as one of the most successful coaches in Georgia prep football history. In his 12-year head coaching stint at Buford High School, he compiled a 164-12 record and won seven state titles.
