Dwight Howard is planning to negotiate a buyout with the Brooklyn Nets that will allow him to enter free-agency, ESPN’s Chris Haynes reported Thursday.
Howard, who has played for three different teams in three seasons, was traded to the Nets Wednesday for center Timofey Mozgov, two second-round picks and cash, ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski reported Wednesday.
A graduate of Southwest Atlanta Christian Academy, the 14-year veteran played in 81 games with the Hornets last season averaging 16.6 points and 12.5 rebounds.
