Carolina Panthers’ offensive tackle Michael Oher was booked at a Nashville, Tenn. jail on Tuesday and then released after being charged with misdemeanor assault.

Oher is charged with assaulting an Uber driver on April 14 when the NFL star and friends were riding in the driver's car in downtown Nashville. The Tennessean reports Oher confronted the Uber driver over what Oher believed to be inflated charges for the ride.

The life of Oher is chronicled in the movie “The Blind Side” starring Sandra Bullock. The movie was filmed in Atlanta released in 2009.
