Ranking this week’s MLS games from best to worst.
Toronto (20-5-8) at Atlanta United (15-9-9), 4 p.m., Sunday. Toronto will try to set a record for points in a season, while Atlanta United is trying to secure the second seed in the East. Should be a fantastic game.
Vancouver (15-11-7) at Portland (14-11-8), 4 p.m. Sunday. Vancouver leads the West with 52 points with three teams capable to passing it or tying it on points. The Timbers (50) are one of those teams.
Columbus (16-12-5) at NYCFC (16-9-8), 4 p.m. Sunday. NYCFC is in second with 56 points while Columbus is in fifth with 53 points. The Crew can move all the way up to second if results go its way….or it doesn't pack up and move to Texas between now and then.
Chicago (16-10-7) at Houston (12-10-11), 4 p.m. Sunday. Chicago (55 points) is yet another team that can move to second in the East. Houston has clinched a playoff spot but is still fighting for the highest possible seed. It trails second-place Portland (50) by just three points.
Colorado (9-18-6) at Seattle (13-9-11), 4 p.m. Sunday. Seattle (50 points) has a playoff spot but wants to win the West.
Sporting KC (12-8-13) at Real Salt Lake (12-15-6), 4 p.m. Sunday. Real Salt Lake (42 points) trails sixth-place San Jose by just one point for the sixth and final playoff spot.
Minnesota United (10-17-6) at San Jose (12-14-7), 4 p.m. Sunday. San Jose can either win and finish in sixth and make the playoffs, or lose and risk missing the postseason all together.
L.A. Galaxy (8-17-8) at Dallas (10-10-13), 4 p.m. Sunday. Once the best team in the league a few months ago, Dallas (43 points) now must win or draw and hope San Jose loses just to make the playoffs.
New York Red Bulls (13-12-8) at D.C. United (9-19-5), 4 p.m. Sunday. The Red Bulls are locked into sixth in the East as the teams and league say goodbye to RFK Stadium.
New England (12-15-6) at Montreal (11-16-6), 4 p.m. Sunday. Two talented teams that face very interesting offseasons.
Orlando City (10-14-9) at Philadelphia (10-14-9), 4 p.m. Sunday. Another season with no playoffs for Orlando.
