Three more former Georgia Tech golfers advanced to U.S. Open sectional qualifying on Tuesday.

Drew Czuchry, John-Tyler Griffin and James White were among the seven who advanced at the Golf Club of Georgia. The sectional will be 36 holes and held June 8 at Hawks Ridge. A few will advance from there to the U.S. Open at Chambers Bay in Washington, June 15-21.

White, a 2012 Tech graduate, was medalist after carding 6-under 66 on the 6,986-yard course. Griffin, a 2011 graduate, and Czuchry, who graduated earlier this month, shot 4 unders.

Anders Albertson, who also recently graduated, advanced on Monday at a sectional at the Legends at Chateau Elan.

Among others competing, former Braves pitcher John Smoltz shot par and failed to advance to a sectional.
