The Silverbacks are moving to their third coach this season.
Jason Smith, who took over for Eric Wynalda after he resigned in July, was relieved of those duties by the team’s management on Sunday.
The Silverbacks have just one win in their last 10 games and haven’t scored in four consecutive games. The team went 2-2-8 under Smith. The team is in last place with a 3-2-9 record in the NASL’s fall season and is 6-3-14 overall.
Alejandro Pombo will take over as interim coach. The team has four games remaining.
