The Dream will look to snap a two-game losing streak and try to climb out of the cellar of the WNBA’s Eastern Conference when they host Washington at 7:30 p.m. Friday in Philips Arena.

Atlanta (3-6) was beaten by Chicago 100-96 in overtime on Wednesday and was beaten by New York 73-64 last Sunday.

The team continues to be paced by Angel McCoughtry, who is averaging 20.8 points per game, almost twice as many the next leading scorer, Tiffany Hayes, who is not with the Dream because she and teammate Aneika Henry are participating in the 2015 European Games.

Atlanta is 1-0 against Washington this year, having beaten the Mystics 64-61 on June 12. McCoughtry scored 21 points and Hayes added 12. No other Atlanta player scored more than six.

The Dream are 1-3 since Hayes, a starter, and Henry, a key backup at center and forward, left.

Atlanta will get a break after this game with its next game not scheduled until July 5 when it hosts Seattle. Hayes and Henry are expected to return for that game.
