The second 10-day contract of Jannero Pargo has expired and the Hawks have yet to decide whether to re-sign the guard for the remainder of the season. The Hawks cannot sign Pargo to another 10-day deal according to league rules.
The Hawks play the Magic Wednesday in Orlando in the final game before the All-Star break. They could play that game without an extra point guard. That would give the team more than a week to make a decision regarding Pargo or make another roster move with the NBA’s trade deadline approaching on Feb. 21. The Hawks have one other game, versus the Heat, before the deadline.
Pargo appeared in seven games for the Hawks over his two 10-day contracts. He averaged 5.0 points, 2.7 assists and 1.0 rebounds in 16.1 minutes. He scored a high of 16 points in his season debut with the Hawks on Jan. 21 against the Timberwolves.
