NFL Network analyst Peter Schrager likes what he sees in Georgia running back Sony Michel. He is so impressed, that he believes Michel could be a high first-round pick in April’s NFL draft.

During Monday's airing of "Good Morning Football" on the NFL Network, Schrager compared Michel to 2017 NFL Rookie of the Year Alvin Kamara and said he thinks Michel could "go as high as top 10."

Many NFL mock drafts have Michel as a second- or third-round selection, but the 5-foot-11, 220-pounder’s stock is rising after two impressive games in the College Football Playoff. Against Oklahoma, Michel had four touchdowns and 222 yards on just 15 touches. In the national title game, he ran for 98 yards on 14 carries against Alabama.

“He is graceful. He glides. He can hit the hole but he can also hit it in a second,” Schrager said. “He is lightning to thunder just like Kamara is lightning to Mark Ingram’s thunder.”

Kamara was selected in the third round by the Saints. The speedy, shifty back who could also catch passes out of the backfield, was a nice compliment to Ingram’s power running style. Michel served in this role as a foil to Nick Chubb. After Chubb was done bruising defenders, Michel entered the game to blow past them.

Michel finished his career third on Georgia’s all-time rushing list with 3,683 yards.
