Ranking this week’s MLS games from best to worst.
Columbus at Montreal, 3 p.m. Saturday. Two weeks ago, I thought the Impact had locked up the sixth seed. Then they went to D.C. and were routed. Now, this is a must-win game or they are done.
Portland at Real Salt Lake, 9:30 p.m. Saturday. Neither Portland nor Real Salt Lake have clinched a playoff spot. The Timbers are in fourth with 48 points. RSL is in sixth with 46 points. It is two points ahead of the seventh-place Galaxy.
Vancouver at Toronto, 5 p.m. Saturday. Make-or-break for both teams. Both must win to stay alive in the playoffs.
Chicago at D.C. United, 1 p.m. Sunday. D.C. United trails Montreal by two points with two games in hand.
L.A. Galaxy at Sporting KC, 8:30 p.m. Saturday. Big game for the Fightin' Zlatans. Three points would be a huge, huge get and could put them back above the red line.
New England at Atlanta United, 3:30 p.m. Saturday. Atlanta United should get three points from this one and keep the pressure on the Red Bulls in the race for the Supporters' Shield.
New York Red Bulls at San Jose, 10:30 p.m. Saturday. The Earthquakes are playing better, but still have nothing to show for it. The same will likely happen here.
Minnesota at Philadelphia, 7:30 p.m. Saturday. The Union are one point behind fourth-place Columbus and six behind third-place NYCFC. The race isn't over.
Orlando at Dallas, 8 p.m. Saturday. Three points for Dallas.
LAFC at Colorado, 9 p.m. Saturday. Three points for LAFC.
