My weekly MLS Power Poll is out. As with player ratings, this is just meant to start conversation and not to be taken too seriously.

Here we go:

1. Dallas (5-0-4).

Last week: 1.

Result: 1-1 draw with NYCFC.

Still unbeaten, still the class of the league.

Next game: vs. vs. San Jose, 8 p.m. Saturday, MLS Live.

-

2. Toronto (7-1-4).

Last week: 2.

Result: 2-1 win over Columbus and 3-2 win over Minnesota.

Toronto rallied to defeat Columbus and did what it needed to defeat Minnesota. With a six-game streak, Toronto is approaching unchartered waters in MLS. It will be interesting to see how long it can keep the streak going now that Sebastian Giovinco will be out for several weeks with a thigh injury.

Next game: at New York Red Bulls, 7:30 p.m. MLS Live.

-

3. NYCFC (5-3-2).

Last week: 3.

Result: 1-1 draw with Dallas.

Nothing wrong with drawing Dallas.

Next game: at Real Salt Lake, 9 p.m. Wednesday, MLS Live and at Orlando, 7 p.m. Sunday, FS1.

-

4. Orlando (6-3-1).

Last week: 4.

Result: 2-2 draw with Sporting KC.

The Lions dropped points at home for the first time this season after losing two consecutive road games last week with two really tough games this week. Cyle Larin continues to be a beast, though.

Next game: at San Jose, 10 p.m. Wednesday, MLS Live, and vs. NYCFC, 7 p.m. Sunday, FS1.

-

5. Portland (5-3-3).

Last week: 5.

Result: 1-1 tie with Atlanta United.

The Timbers had a few chances to take all three points from Atlanta United.

Next game: at Montreal, 3 p.m. Saturday, MLS Live.

-

6. Sporting KC (5-2-4).

Last week: 6.

Result: 2-2 draw with Orlando.

Sporting KC did well to earn a point at Orlando and Latif Blessing continues to impress.

Next game: vs. Seattle, 8:30 p.m. Wednesday MLS Live and at Vancouver, 7 p.m. Saturday, MLS Live.

-

7. Columbus (6-5-1).

Last week: 7.

Result: 3-2 win over Montreal.

Giving up two goals at home when leading 1-0 isn’t a good sign, but Justin Meram scoring a hat trick to edge Montreal is. Their next game could be a goal-fest.

Next game: at New England, 2:30 p.m. Sunday, MLS Live.

-

8. Houston (6-3-1).

Last week: 8.

Result: 2-1 win over Vancouver.

The Dynamo have a league-best six wins at home after an impressive showing against Vancouver. Now come two suddenly tough road games.

Next game: at Philadelphia, 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, MLS Live, and at Atlanta United 7 p.m. Saturday, MLS Live.

-

9. Atlanta United (3-4-3).

Last week: 12.

Result: 1-1 tie with Portland.

Arguably the best example of what the team wants to do on offense in last week’s draw. The Five Stripes move up this week because they earned a point and because they showed that when they do what the offense was designed to do they can be pretty good.

Next game: vs. Houston, 7 p.m. Saturday, MLS Live and Fox Sports Southeast.

-

10. Chicago (4-3-3).

Last week: 13.

Result: 4-1 win over Seattle.

After a poor run of form the Fire put a beat down on Seattle.

Next game: vs. Colorado, 8:30 p.m. Wednesday, MLS Live and at D.C. United, 4 p.m. Saturday, UniMas.

-

11. New York Red Bulls (5-6-1).

Last week: 9.

Result: 3-1 loss to L.A. Galaxy.

The Red Bulls have lost three consecutive games.

Next game: vs. Toronto, 7:30 p.m. Friday, MLS Live.

-

12. San Jose (4-4-3).

Last week: 10.

Result: 3-0 loss to Colorado.

Following a 3-0 win over Portland, one of the league’s better teams, with a 3-0 loss to Colorado, one of the worst, isn’t the mark of a contender.

Next game: vs. Orlando, 10:30 p.m. Wednesday, MLS Live.

-

13. Los Angeles (3-5-2).

Last week: 15.

Result: 3-1 win over New York Red Bulls.

Two ties and a big win over the Red Bulls and the Galaxy seem to be doing well with Jermaine Jones.

Next game: at Minnesota, 5 p.m. Sunday, ESPN.

-

14. Vancouver (4-5-1)

Last week: 11.

Result: 2-1 loss to Houston.

Recycling last week’s comment: They may be the least impressive team with four wins I’ve seen.

Next game: vs. Sporting KC, 7 p.m. Saturday, MLS Live.

-

15. New England (3-4-4)

Last week: 18.

Result: 4-0 win over Real Salt Lake.

The Revs are feast or famine on offense with all four of last week’s goals coming in the first half. Atlanta United fans may be interested to know that the Revs unveiled the new FieldTurf last week.

Next game: vs. Columbus, 2:30 p.m. Sunday, MLS Live.

-

16. Minnesota United (3-6-2).

Last week: 16.

Result: 3-2 loss to Toronto.

This team rallied twice to tie Toronto before losing, which is a very indication of the renewed belief Adrian Heath’s men have.

Next game: vs. L.A Galaxy, 5 p.m. Sunday, ESPN.

-

17. Seattle (2-4-4).

Last week: 14.

Result: 4-1 loss to Chicago.

My verdict: Seattle's defense is a mess and its offense too inconsistent.

Next game: at Sporting KC, 8:30 p.m. Wednesday, MLS Live and vs. Real Salt Lake, 5 p.m. Saturday, MLS Live.

-

18. Philadelphia (2-4-4).

Last week: 21.

Result: 4-0 win over D.C. United.

Back-to-back wins for Philly. The team seems to have finally turned itself around.

Next game: vs. Houston, 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, MLS Live and vs. Colorado, 7 p.m. Saturday, MLS Live.

-

19. Colorado (2-6-1).

Last week: 22.

Result: 3-0 win over San Jose.

Colorado scored more than half of its goal total this season in last week’s win.

Next game: at Chicago, 8:30 p.m. Wednesday, MLS Live and at Philadelphia, 7 p.m. Saturday, MLS Live.

-

20. Montreal (2-4-4).

Last week: 19.

Result: 3-2 loss to Columbus.

Another team that whose performances since defeating Atlanta United make you wonder how they pulled that win off in the first place.

Next game: vs. Portland, 3 p.m. Saturday, MLS Live.

-

21. D.C. United (3-5-2).

Last week: 17.

Result: 4-0 loss to Philadelphia.

It’s hard to believe that this is the team that hammered Atlanta United 3-1.

Next game: vs. Chicago, 4 p.m. Saturday, UniMas.

-

22. Real Salt Lake (2-7-2).

Last week: 20.

Result: 4-0 loss to New England.

This team is sinking fast.

Next game: vs. NYCFC, 9 p.m. Wednesday, MLS Live and at Seattle, 5 p.m. Saturday, MLS Live.
