MLS announced Wednesday that it is extending its team training moratorium through April 3 in its efforts to follow CDC guidelines to limit the spread of the COVID-19 coronavirus.

MLS teams haven't trained in large groups since March 12, which is when the league announced that it was suspending its season. The league last week extended its suspension until mid-May, in accordance with guidelines from the Centers of Disease Control.

MLS Commissioner Don Garber, speaking on ESPN on Tuesday, said the league plans to play each team's remaining 32 games. Atlanta United is 2-0 with wins at Nashville and against Cincinnati.

In a change from the previous training bans that required players to stay in their club’s market, the league said Wednesday if a player needs to leave the club’s market and relocate to another market by car, the case will be reviewed taking into account the totality of a player’s situation.

March 7 vs. Cincinnati

March 14 vs. Sporting KC

March 21 at Chicago

April 5 at Cincinnati

April 19 vs. Portland

April 26 at Orlando

May 3 vs. Real Salt Lake

May 9 at Philadelphia

May 16 at New York Red Bulls
