Kyle Korver will be among the players invited to try out for the 2014-16 USA Basketball Men’s National team, according to a person familiar with the situation.

The Hawks guard will be among 25-30 players invited to camp when the official announcement is made by USA Basketball Thursday morning. The announcement will be made by USA Basketball chairman Jerry Colangelo and head coach Mike Krzyzewski.

From the pool of players will come the selection of the 12-member team that will compete in the 2014 World Cup in Spain and the 2016 Olympics in Brazil.

Korver, with an NBA-record streak of 109 games with a 3-pointer, is averaging 12.2 points a game for the Hawks this season. He is shooting .458 (98 of 214) from 3-point range, third best in the NBA.

Among the players also reportedly invited to try out are Stephen Curry, Kevin Love, Kevin Durant, LaMarcus Aldridge, Paul George, James Harden, Dwight Howard, Damian Lillard and DeMarcus Cousins.
