Kennesaw State right-handed pitcher Gabe Friese signed with the Milwaukee Brewers as a free agent on Sunday afternoon, the University announced on Sunday.

A native of Kennesaw, Friese holds the Kennesaw State record for most innings pitched (267.2) and is first in Owls’ history with 39 career starts.

"We are extremely happy for Gabe and his family," coach Mike Sansing said in a statement released by the University. "He has been a huge part of our program and has been successful in multiple roles."
