Georgia Tech coach Paul Johnson said on Monday that it would be known on Thursday if injured linebacker Brant Mitchell and safety A.J. Gray would be available to play in Saturday’s game against Virginia Tech at Bobby Dodd Stadium.

Gray, a junior, missed last week’s loss at Virginia with a lower body injury. He is fourth on the team in tackles (35).

Mitchell, a junior, is ninth in tackles (23). Bruce Jordan-Swilling, playing at middle linebacker in place of Mitchell, tied for the team lead in tackles (11), forced a fumble and returned an interception for a touchdown at Virginia.
