Reliever Jason Motte has returned to the Majors.
After signing a minor-league contract with the Braves on April 9, Motte reported to the Braves’ Triple-A Gwinnett affiliate.
On Thursday, Motte was called up and given his Atlanta Braves uniform.
Braves manager Brian Snitker said to start, Motte will most likely be used in a one-inning role in the sixth or seventh inning.
Motte, a nine-year veteran, pitched for the St. Louis Cardinals from 2008-2012 and 2014, the Chicago Cubs in 2015 and the Colorado Rockies in 2016.
