Westlake High basketball star James Lewis committed to North Carolina State on Thursday, picking the Wolfpack over his other final three of Georgia Tech, Baylor and Wake Forest.

A four-star recruit and the nation's 60th-ranked player according to the 247Sports Composite rankings, Lewis also had offers from Georgia, Florida, Kansas, Virginia, Connecticut, and others.

A point guard with a deft shooting touch, Lewis led the Lions to the 2016 Class AAAAAA state title, the third in the school’s history. Last season, they lost 89-83 to Newton in the second round of the playoffs. Lewis has also played for the Georgia Stars.
