Denmark, Alcovy, Kennesaw Mountain, Bleckley County and Haralson County won region championships this year for the first time. Denmark opened in 2018; Alcovy in 2006; Kennesaw Mountain in 2000; Bleckley in 1977; and Haralson in 1968. Georgia Military won its first since 1960.
