North Paulding, a school that opened in 2007, is within one victory of its first region title in 7-AAAAA. Chase Noonan is one reason why.

The senior quarterback was 16-of-24 passing for 464 yards and six touchdowns in a 62-46 victory against Allatoona, which had been North Paulding’s biggest remaining hurdle. Noonan also scored a touchdown. He has 1,899 yards passing this season with 23 touchdowns and three interceptions.

North Paulding can clinch the region with a home victory this week against Villa Rica.
