Atlanta Hawks rookie power forward John Collins scored 13 points and recorded five rebounds in Thursday's loss to the Chicago Bulls.

Collins played 25 minutes and shot 5-of-6 from the field.

After the Hawks’ 91-86 loss, coach Mike Budenholzer said he was impressed with Collins’ defense against the Bulls’ 7-foot center Robin Lopez and a good offensive effort.

“I thought John battled ( Lopez),” Budenholzer said. “Obviously we had a pretty big deficit on the boards and part of that is John playing a little bit out of position but I like the energy John’s bringing and the effort John’s bringing and I thought offensively he created some things for us and it’s a good learning experience for John for sure.”
