Two-time Masters Champion Tom Watson made his final Masters appearance Friday.
Among the people watching and cheering the 66-year-old on as he approached the 18th hole at Augusta National was Lil Wayne.
That’s right: Lil Wayne.
The Louisiana rapper tweeted about giving Watson a standing ovation from his living Friday night. Lil Wayne added that he has been watching Watson since the day he knew what golf was.
Though Lil Wayne didn’t initially tag Watson in his first tweet, probably because he was unaware that Watson is an active Twitter user. But Watson found the tweet and responded the next day.

Lil Wayne has no tour dates scheduled as of right now, but from the looks of this budding friendship, it’s safe to say Watson will be keeping an eye out.
