Highlight: Three consecutive bogeys from Nos. 6-8 stalled his momentum after reaching 8 under with a birdie on No. 2.

What he said: "I've contended in a couple majors and obviously being in position going into Saturday here at the Masters is going to be special. I'm not going to put too much pressure on myself, but I'd be lying to say it's not a great feeling and a great spot to be."

SERGIO GARCIA

71-69 (tied for 1st)

Highlight: He birdied the opening three holes to start the second round for the first time in his career at the Masters, according to ESPN.

What he said: "So things are happening at the moment. So I want to make sure that I keep riding that wave and go out there tomorrow, be positive, be like I've been the first two days."

72-68 (tied for 1st)

Highlight: The second lowest round of the day included one of two eagles on No. 13.

What he said: "I've hit a lot of good golf shots and I haven't had to hit a lot of long putts either.

“If I can get into contention on Sunday, that’s all I want.”

What he said: "I love looking up and seeing the big leaderboards. It's a lot of fun to see your name up there."
