The men's and women's gold medal winners in golf in the Olympics will receive exemptions into most of the majors the following year.

On Monday, representatives of Augusta National, United States Golf Association, the R&A, and PGA of America said that the men’s winner will receive an invitation into each of their championships, starting in 2017: the Masters, U.S. Open, British Open, and the PGA Championship.

“We believe our game’s visibility will be dramatically elevated by the global platform that only the Olympics offer,” Augusta National chairman Billy Payne said.

The women’s gold medal winner will receive an invitation to compete in next year’s ANA Inspiration, KPMG Women’s PGA Championship, U.S. Women’s Open and RICOH Women’s British Open. Additionally, they will receive an invitation into The Evian Championship in September, which will take place this year after the Olympics.

Golf will be played in the Olympics for the first time since 1904. It will feature 60 men and women competing in a 72-hole stroke-play tournament
