Georgia wide receiver Riley Ridley takes advice from brother, Calvin, ahead of 2018 season

Georgia wide receiver Riley Ridley says his brother Calvin Ridley — Atlanta Falcons rookie and former Alabama wide receiver — gave him advice prior to Georgia’s season-opener against Austin Peay.

“Before the game, my brother texted me,” Riley Ridley said. “He was like, “go out there and do your thing, go out there and ball out.” Whenever I get a chance, I always run that through my mind.”

However, the Bulldog wide receiver says that his brother’s loyalty remains with the Crimson Tide — even after being drafted No. 26 overall to the Falcons.

“I really think he’s still a ‘Roll Tide’ fan, an Alabama fan,” Riley Ridley admitted. “That’s never going to change.”

Ridley had three receptions for 33 yards and a touchdown Saturday against Austin Peay. The Falcons rookie tweeted after his brother’s touchdown.

While Calvin Ridley prepares for the Falcons game against the defending Super Bowl champions, the Philadelphia Eagles, Riley Ridley and the Bulldogs prepare for their first Southeastern Conference game of the season.

The Bulldogs play the Gamecocks Saturday, Sept. 8, at 3:30 p.m. in Columbia, S.C.
