Former Georgia Tech center Saba Gigiberia has found a new home. Gigiberia, who went into the transfer portal April 5 after receiving little playing time in two seasons, announced on social media Tuesday that he committed to the University of San Francisco.

Gigiberia played in 24 games in two seasons for coach Josh Pastner, averaging 6.3 minutes and 2.0 points per game. Behind the likes of Moses Wright and Rodney Howard, he had difficulty finding a spot in the rotation.

From the nation of Georgia, Gigiberia joins a team that is among the most competitive in the West Coast Conference. The Dons finished this season 24-10 – their fifth 20-win season out of the past six – and earned an at-large berth into the NCAA Tournament.

He is the second of Tech’s three scholarship players who went into the transfer portal this offseason to commit, following guard Bubba Parham’s commitment to Samford on April 19. Forward Khalid Moore has yet to commit.
