Georgia Tech target and Hillgrove receiver to announce commitment

Hillgrove High School wide receiver Chigoziem Okonkwo plans to announce his college commitment on Friday at 5 p.m.

Okonkwo, 6-foot-3, 224 pounds, has offers from Arkansas State, Georgia Southern, Marshall, Navy, Troy and Wisconsin, but is expected to choose either Maryland or Georgia Tech, according to 247 Sports.

Okonokwo unofficially visited Georgia Tech on June 1 after receiving an offer from the Yellow Jackets on Feb. 28, according to 247 Sports.

The 3-star senior from Powder Springs, Ga. is ranked No. 53 on 247 Sports list of top 2018 recruits in Georgia and No. 94 on 247 Sports' list of top 2018 wide receivers.
