Georgia Tech is still a contender to add one of the nation’s top uncommitted football prospects.
And, if you listen to the chatter on message boards and Twitter, the Yellow Jackets may be in the driver’s seat.
The recruit is Corn Elder, who is a 4-star "athlete" from Nashville, Tenn.
The 5-foot-11, 170-pounder announced on Twitter that he will make his college decision on Feb. 20. Elder took official visits to Georgia Tech, Auburn, UCLA and Ohio State.
Elder hasn’t been doing any media interviews but what likely delayed his decision was a late offer from Purdue in basketball. Apparently, Elder wants to play both basketball and football in college – which is his rumored appeal to Georgia Tech. He plays point guard in basketball.
It would be a huge recruiting victory for Georgia Tech. Elder is a 4-star, which is higher than any of 14 members of this year class with the Yellow Jackets.
Elder projects to play running back for Georgia Tech.
