Georgia Tech's new defensive coordinator Nate Woody has been named an ACC coach to watch during the spring by ESPN.

It was announced Woody would succeed former Yellow Jackets’ defensive coordinator Ted Roof in January after Rood accepted a position at NC State.

“The former Appalachian State defensive coordinator takes over a Tech unit that gave up 26.5 points per game and forced only 10 turnovers, fewest in the ACC in 2017,” ESPN’s Mark Schlabach wrote.

The rest of Schlabach's spring football storylines can be read on ESPN's official website.
