This may be the Panthers’ best chance for a victory in coach Trent Miles’ first season.

Sept. 7, vs. Tennessee-Chattanooga, 2 p.m.

Another in the three games against FCS opponents the Panthers will play.

Sept. 14, at West Virginia, noon

The Panthers will take the money ($550,000) and likely the defeat.

Sept. 21, vs. Jacksonville State, 2 p.m.

This will be a measuring stick to see what Panthers players and coaches have learned.

Oct. 5, at Alabama, TBD

When these schools met in 2010, Georgia State’s inaugural season, the Crimson Tide won 63-7.

Oct. 12, vs. Troy, TBD

This is the Panthers’ first game in the Sun Belt.

Oct. 19, at Texas State, 7 p.m.

The first “real” road game of the season for the Panthers when they take on Dennis Franchione’s bunch.

Oct. 26, at Louisiana-Monroe, TBD

The Warhawks, who scored 440 points last season, will be a handful with Kolton Browning under center.

Nov. 2, vs. Western Kentucky, TBD

The return of former Falcons coach Bobby Petrino to the Georgia Dome. It should be fun for off-the-field and on-the-field reasons.

Nov. 16, vs. Louisiana-Lafayette, 2 p.m.

The Ragin’ Cajuns scored a league-best 461 points last season.

Nov. 23, at Arkansas State, TBD

Facing the defending Sun Belt champs is the last in a tough six-game Sun Belt stretch. Watch out for running back David Oku.

Nov. 30, vs. South Alabama, 2 p.m.

If the Panthers haven’t won a game, it could come against the Jaguars.
