Before the Panthers kick off the first season under coach Shawn Elliott on Aug. 31 against Tennessee State, Georgia State invited fans to participate in FanFest and celebrate the Panthers’ first season inside Georgia State Stadium.

FanFest will be held on Aug. 17 at Georgia State Stadium and will feature a Panthers’ practice and a simulated scrimmage.

Gates open at 5:30 p.m. and the scrimmage will begin at 7 p.m. and last approximately 90 minutes.

Before the scrimmage, the PantherWalk will take place outside the Green Lot at 6:30 p.m.

Parking is free in the both the Green and Red Lots and lots open at 3 p.m. for tailgating.

“We are treating this night as a run through for everyone involved, from our staff to our student-athletes and even for our fans,” senior associate athletic director for external operations Brian Kelly said. “We want everyone to come out to not only see where their seats are, but to check out the concession stands, see where they are going to park and get ready for an incredible opening night on Aug. 31.”
