Georgia early signing period class ties recruiting record held since 2006

It’s no surprise Kirby Smart and the Georgia Bulldogs pulled off a powerful 2018 signing class during the inaugural early signing period on Wednesday, but it sure was fun to watch.
Georgia, which currently has the No. 1 signing class of 2018, broke a record held since 2006 for most Top 30 recruits signed by one program in a single class.
The Bulldogs signed seven Top 30 recruits Wednesday including quarterback Justin Fields (No. 1), defensive ed Brenton Cox (No. 13), running back Zamir White (No. 15), offensive tackle Cade Mays (No. 19), wide receiver Kearis Jackson (No. 26), offensive guard Trey Hill (No. 27) and offensive guard Jamaree Slayer (No. 28).
Georgia has landed 7 top-30 recruits for the Class of 2018. That is the most in a single class for any school in the ESPN 300 era (since 2006).
