The matchup between Georgia and Auburn on Nov. 10 has been named one of 12 games that could define the 2018 College Football Playoff race by ESPN’s Heather Dinich.

The last two matchups between Georgia and Auburn were memorable. First, in the regular season, Georgia suffered a blowout loss and broke their perfect record on Nov. 11 at Jordan-Hare Stadium 40-17. The two faced off once more on Dec. 2 in the SEC Championship where Georgia won 28-7 and advanced to the College Football Playoff Semifinal against Oklahoma.

“The reason Auburn was still in the mix as a two-loss team last year was because it beat both Georgia and Alabama during the regular season,” Dinich wrote. “If it can pull off that feat again, it won't matter if Auburn loses to Washington in the opener -- just like the loss to Clemson last season was eventually forgiven.”

The rest of Dinich's list of 12 games that could define the College Football Playoff race can be read on ESPN.com.
