For the second time in Saturday’s SEC Championship, Georgia outside linebacker Roquan Smith came up with a big fumble recovery.
Early in the fourth quarter at Mercedes-Benz Stadium, the Bulldogs led Auburn 13-7 and the Tigers had the football near midfield. Georgia linebacker Lorenzo Carter knocked the football out of the right arm of Auburn running back Kerryon Johnson. Smith then jumped on the loose football to set Georgia up at the Auburn 39-yard line.
