Gainesville native Deshaun Watson tears ACL, out for season per reports

Gainesville native and rookie Houston Texans quarterback Deshaun Watson tore his ACL during practice Thursday per ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter.

Deshaun Watson did tear his ACL, per source. Tests on-site revealed tear. @rapsheet first mentioned this possibility.

Deshaun Watson went down on a normal drill, running a read option, on a grass field, per source. Didn’t yell, trainers took him off field.

Watson was recently named the AFC Offensive Player of the Month and Rookie of the Month.

Since his first start with the Texans, the rookie quarterback threw over 1,600 yards and 19 touchdowns with only eight interceptions.
