Former Georgia offensive coordinator Mike Bobo, now the head coach at Colorado State, turned down a $100,000 raise because he didn’t feel he deserved it, according to the Loveland Reporter-Herald and ESPN.

Bobo’s Rams were 3-9 in 2018.

After they closed the regular season with a 27-19 loss to Air Force on Nov. 22, Bobo called athletics director Joe Parker and declined his 2019 raise. He signed an amended contract last week, leaving his salary at $1.8 million.

"This is an administration that stood behind me, and I felt like we didn't live up to our end of the deal," Bobo said. "I wanted to make a statement to our players that we're in this together and you've got be accountable, starting with me.”

Bobo is 24-27 in four seasons at Colorado State.

Bobo, 44, played quarterback at Georgia from 1993 to 1997.

He was diagnosed with peripheral neuropathy in August and missed 11 days of the team’s fall camp.
