On the defense’s performance:
“We wanted to come out and play our style of football. Unfortunately, our first unit, we didn’t go out there and get the ball back – our type and style of football – but we got after them. We got to the ball and tried to harass the quarterback a few times in the backfield, and tried to make some plays.”
On his play and how he is fitting into the defense:
“I love this defense. I love this style of defense. It’s an attacking style of defense. It’s basically hitting and running out there. Unfortunately, I missed a play earlier in the game, but I came back and made up for it. It’s going to be like that all year long. We have to continue to progress every game. I look forward to continuing to get better with my teammates.
On what he thinks the defense has done well and what can be improved:
“We continue to get better, taking a step daily. We’ve got to continue to get the ball out. That’s our style of football. We are going to continue to harp on it, game in and game out, throughout this year. We’ve got to continue to fight and make sure we are getting off the field.
