FLOWERY BRANCH — UCLA linebacker Myles Jack, who projects not to be available when the Falcons select with the 17th pick in the NFL draft, visited with the team Thursday, according to his representative.

Falcons linebackers coach Jeff Ulbrich coached Jack at UCLA.

Falcons general manager Thomas Dimitroff has talked about the team being creative in the draft because it has only five picks. Dimitroff has traded up in the draft before in recent years to land wide receiver Julio Jones and cornerback Desmond Trufant.

If the Falcons lock in on a need and a player, they have not been shy about moving up.

In his latest mock draft, ESPN draft analyst Mel Kiper projects Jack will be selected by the Dolphins with the eighth pick.
